XRAY’s dedicated staff produced the XT2 using advanced German and Swiss CNC machines and premium European materials. Engineered and manufactured at the XRAY factory in Slovakia; the XT2 is another example of the attention to detail the designers put into each of XRAY’s products.
Upon its debut, the XT2 won one of the world’s most competitive off-road series… the EOS. Hupo Hönigl won the Modified class and Max Götzl won the Stock class, making the XT2 a double-EOS Champion.

Successful development of the XT2 – like all other XRAY platforms – would not be possible without the entire racing team’s involvement working year-round to test new ideas, prototypes, and improvements. To adjust the weight balance the optional electronics plate can be easily installed in front ward or rearward position. The electronics plate is available either in lightweight 1.6mm carbon fiber alternative or as an additional weight balance.
All-new completely redesigned front anti-roll bar system increases performance of the car especially in the corners and makes the car easier to handle in all track conditions.
The new anti-roll bar is positioned more outside on the suspension arm which helps the efficiency during cornering of the car when the car rolls to the side.
The kit comes with 1.6mm anti-roll bar, optional anti-roll bars for fine tuning are available.
New front and rear springs specifically designed for the heavier and wider truck achieve improved suspension performance in all track conditions. Both front and rear springs are longer to match the longer truck shock geometry and provide improved preload and operating range for improved jump landings and better rough track stability.
The front springs are 49mm long and the rear springs are 67mm long.
Both Carpet and Dirt Edition now feature the new 2 slots steering block extensions better suited for higher traction conditions. These extensions allow less steering angle and provide more steering in corners with less diving on front.
The composite blocks are molded from a special composite mixture for maximum strength.
There are three different steering blocks available – medium (option), hard (included) and graphite (option) – which are suitable for various track conditions.
The all-new medium hardness front and rear suspension arms redesigned to accommodate the new anti-roll bar system and moulded from medium hardness mixture suitable for all standard track conditions.
The medium hardness is softer than the previous hard arms which helps also to eliminate agressive feeling from the car and generates more traction in all track conditions.
The suspension arm itself is rigid enough to provide a responsive feel; yet soft enough for extreme durability. The exclusive composite mixtures used for suspension arms are a perfect balance between reliability and performance.
There are three different rear suspension arms available: medium (included), hard (optional) and graphite (optional), each suitable for particular track conditions.
The super-narrow, ultra-low CG gear box (LCG) features quick & easy diff access. The narrower design of the gear box reduces weight and moves all parts closer to the chassis centerline.
Gear box – for front motor position - keeps more weight over the front axle for improved steering and corner speed on high grip surfaces. Included in the Carpet and Dirt edition.
The LCG gear differential case has greater internal oil volume to increase consistency of the diff action, yet it is significantly narrower to fit into the LCG gear box and to move the rotating weight closer to the centerline.
The super-smooth gear diff uses a composite case and cover with internal satellite gears that are precision-molded from special XRAY-developed graphite composite material, ensuring a long lifespan and super-smooth, efficient operation.
The gear differential tends to increase on-power steering and is suggested for medium to high traction conditions and carpet tracks.
The gear differential is included in the Carpet edition.
The narrower LCG design fits the narrow gear box and includes all the improvements learned from extensive testing of previous versions for smoother differential action to increase traction.
The redesigned ball differential offers improved performance, durability, and easier maintenance. The externally adjustable ball differential is machined from HUDY Spring Steel™ and is additionally hardened for extra durability and a longer lifespan. A high-quality carbide thrust bearing and carbide balls are included for ultra-smooth operation. The outdrive adapters are designed for use with 2.5mm pin drive shafts.
The ball differential included in the Dirt edition as the suggested choice for most dirt tracks and for bumpy astro tracks.
The LCG gear box features super easy access to the differential. Both XT2D and XT2C trucks benefit from the super easy diff access by removing only 6 screws.
The LCG gearboxes incorporate all the finest details and craftsmanship. All parts fit together perfectly, and the super-easy access to the rear differential will be appreciated by every racer. The durable gear box houses the differential with all the transmission components and serves as the mounting point for the rear roll center holder, motor plate, and rear shock tower.
The gear box features differential height adjustment. There are 6 height adjustment positions available using the included eccentric bushings. The ideal position will vary depending on the track conditions, ride height and the size of the tires used.
Power from the motor is transferred to the drivetrain via an externally adjustable slipper clutch for quick & easy tuning.
The slipper clutch components accommodate the LCG gear boxes.
The lightweight slipper plates are machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 and additionally hardened before a final black surface treatment. The plates have a machined relief which decreases the friction surface to assist with clutch slip adjustment. With this plate design, pressure is focused on the circumference of the clutch pads for increased efficiency.
The slipper pads are made from ultra-efficient SLS material with very-high slip efficiency, thus allowing very precise slip adjustment.
There are two different slipper clutch designs available. The 3-pad slipper assembly is included in both Carpet and Dirt edition trucks for its slippage characteristics matching the needs of most track conditions. The optional 2 pad configurate is available for times when smoother acceleration is needed in lower grip situations.
The motor mount plate is redesigned to fit the LCG gear box design and accommodate the updated spur gear protector.
The super lightweight motor mount is machined from Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum.
The molded composite gear protector prevents contact between the spur gear and the body. Moulded from strong, lightweight material, the cover helps to protect the body shell and spur gear.
The motor plate is universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.
The rear roll center holder is redesigned to fit the LCG gear box and features updated roll center positions. The roll center holder also serves as the rear anti-roll bar mount.
An optional rear aluminum roll center holder features roll center positions in between the stock positions for additional tuning choices.

The rear suspension features adjustable rear-upright design, longer CVD drive shafts and longer, rear camber link. The adjustable system offers a vast range of roll-center tuning adjustments for different track conditions.
To accommodate the redesigned suspension and LCG differential dimensions, the drive shaft length has increased to 94mm for Carpet edition and 96mm for Dirt edition.
The XT2 driveshafts are manufactured from world-renowned HUDY Spring Steel™ and feature 2.5mm drive pins for maximum drivetrain efficiency. The drive shafts are some of the world‘s thinnest yet most durable drive shafts used in electric off-road trucks. Treated with a proprietary hardening process; the drive shafts provide unbeatable lifespan and reliability.
Rear uprights feature aluminum roll center mounts with updated roll center position.
The upper roll center is adjusted at the camber linkage via shims (up/down & in/out), while the lower roll center is adjustable via eccentric inserts for 9 different positions (up/down & in/out).
The multi-function uprights have the upper roll center position in the middle of the axis of the driveshaft joint to help generate more traction and increase stability.
There are three different uprights available: hard (included), graphite (optional), and aluminum (optional), each suitable for particular track conditions.
Narrower suspension holders are as narrow as the gear box allows. The narrower design increases rear traction.
The aluminum suspension holders feature Integrated Suspension Settings (I.S.S.™) which allows for quick & easy suspension geometry set-up.

The front lower chassis brace is another component of the Multi-Flex™ system that influences flex and handling. There are two different chassis braces available – medium (optional) and hard (included), each suitable for particular track conditions. The brace is mounted directly to the chassis to hold the entire front assembly and front suspension, including the front protection bumper.
An optional medium-hardness composite molded brace is suitable for low- and medium-traction tracks.
The included brace is moulded from hard-hardness composite and is suitable for high- and very-high-traction tracks.
The XT2 steering system was redesigned for both high traction and low traction conditions. The Fully Adaptive Steering System has most of the parts updated including the steering arms, steering plate, servo horns, steering linkage, and pivot balls. The same components are included in both Carpet & Dirt Editions but allow different build configurations to alter the geometry depending on the track’s conditions. Smart & easy.
The rear shock tower was redesigned to match the LCG gearbox.
The front and rear shock towers are universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.
To improve the precision of the shock shaft movement, the lower composite shim was redesigned and updated with a more accurate and precise mould design.
The shocks are membrane-free, yet they still allow for easy, consistent building and rebound setting using the bleed-screw shock cap design.
The aluminum body and lower cap are machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum.
Shock rods are machined from special steel material, precision hand-ground for maximum smooth operation, and additionally hardened for improved lifespan.
Shock pistons are made from Delrin® and are molded using ultra-high precision moulds. 2-hole pistons (1.6mm and 1.7mm holes) are included in the set.
Tweak-free fully adjustable battery holders are integrated into the side guards allowing easy and fast battery position adjustments, as well as simple battery installation through the smart quick-release system.
The battery pack is easily moved front/rear to adjust the balance of the XT2. If needed, the rear motor brace can be removed and the battery pack moved completely rearward to maximize the rear weight bias and generate extra traction on the rear suspension.
The height of the battery backstop is also adjustable for different battery sizes.
The battery holder is mounted to the chassis through one connecting screw on each side brace to eliminate any negative effects on chassis flex.
The battery holder is universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.
The redesigned motor mount brace ensures optimum flex via a pivot ball mount that ensures side flex for increased traction.
The design of the XT2 chassis also allows removal of the motor mount brace to increase flex and to move the battery pack further to the rear to position more weight over the rear axles for improved rear traction.
The motor mount brace is universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.
The side guards integrate with the bent chassis to provide additional support for the chassis plate and serve the dual purpose as mounting points for the front chassis stiffening plates and the adjustable battery holder system.
The side guards are also universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.
The graphite side guard braces make the front of the truck more stable and predictable. Three flex settings are available by installing different combinations of the mounting hardware between the braces and side guards to alter the vehicle stiffness.

The side guard braces are universal for both Dirt and Carpet edition.
The lower composite arm mount is an important part of the chassis where the lower arms mount, and the block has an integrated 26° kick-up angle. Optional aluminum and brass arm mounts are available for further weight balance adjustment.
As a part of the Multi-Flex™ system, the front upper deck is used to adjust chassis flex.
There are two different upper decks available – medium (optional) and hard (included), each suitable for particular track conditions.
An optional medium-hardness composite upper deck is great for low-and medium-traction conditions.
The included brace is moulded from hard-hardness composite and is suitable for high-traction and very-high traction conditions.
The caster blocks are very lightweight, yet their construction makes them very stiff & rigid. Caster can be adjusted with values 0°, 2.5°, or 5° using included caster bushings.
There are two different caster blocks available: medium (optional) and hard (included), each suitable for particular track conditions.
Precision-molded spur gears are made from XRAY's exclusive secret blend of composite material, allowing the gear to run true yet be robust enough to handle high-performance brushless motors. The spur gears are designed to have the lowest possible weight while staying strong and light. Each gear is stamped with the tooth number for easy identification.
The XT2 is equipped with an 78T spur gear which suits the majority of tracks. For additional tuning, optional 75T and 81T spur gears are available.
The XT2 body features high-downforce areas (including front window and top roof flow channels) for proper air flow and side downforce areas for higher stability. The high-performance, low-profile aerodynamic body was designed by XRAY to perfectly fit the XT2 and work in most track conditions. The body is made from high-quality, premium Lexan™ material.
The effective rear wing was designed to work perfectly with the XRAY XT2 body. Made from strong Lexan™ material; the wing is supported on the wing mounts by extra flat shims to better support and extend the life of the wing.
Beefy 6mm thick body posts are made from special composite material that provides maximum strength but sufficient flex to reduce body post breakage in hard crashes or if the XT2 flips over. The body supports are rounded to have a better fit and provide better support to the truck body.
For ultimate tuning and adjustment, XRAY offers optional body height adjustable body posts for independent front & rear body height adjustment by +1mm or +2mm.
The XT2 comes equipped with offset hexes to perfectly match the width of the truck.
Ultra-lightweight 12mm wheel hex-drive hubs are CNC-machined from Swiss 7075 T6 black-coated aluminum. These ultra-true hex hubs have a clamping design to ensure ultra-solid mounting of the wheel’s hub.
To adjust track-width, optional offset wheel hex-drive hubs are available.
For maximum reliability, all turnbuckles feature a tougher core from special HUDY Spring Steel™ material. These turnbuckles are used for front & rear upright linkages and steering system.
Outer suspension pins holding the front caster block and rear uprights feature wheelbase shims for quick & easy wheelbase and weight balance adjustment. Using included shims in rear and in front, both front and rear blocks can be moved forward or rearward to adjust weight balance depending on track condition.
By moving the arms to the front, the balance & weight of the truck are transferred more to the rear; recommended for medium- and high-traction conditions. By moving the arms to the rear, the balance & weight of the truck transfer moreforward.
Chassis design focuses on balanced weight distribution and weight transfer. The chassis features pre-drilled holes for additional balance weights. Centerline holes are pre-drilled for easy balancing with the HUDY Chassis Balancing Tool #107880.
The XT2 features greased ball-bearings for the front steering blocks & rear uprights to increase lifespan in dusty conditions. The remaining bearings are degreased and oiled with AeroShell® Fluid 12 for maximum smoothness and longer life.
A full set of 22 high-speed ball-bearings are used throughout the drivetrain to ensure maximum efficiency.

The XT2 includes premium HUDY Graphite Grease which is a high-performance, advanced-technology semi-fluid lubricant which incorporates both extreme pressure additives and finely-dispersed graphite for load carrying. It is intended primarily for the lubrication of rotating parts and loaded gears. In addition to providing outstanding load carrying, it is formulated to have excellent adhesion and resistance to "fling-off" under extreme conditions.
